Center for Economic Education The Hawaii Council on Economic Education, along with the UH College of Education, supports the Center for Economic Education. The Center conducts the training programs that teach teachers how to instill economics-related life skills in the curriculum for Hawaii's students in grades Kindergarten through 12. The Center offers credit courses such as Mini-Society, Making a Job, and Integration of Economics in into the Social Studies Curriculum.
o The Center sponsors unique workshops and seminars such as Harry Potter’s Economy & Polity; Seas, Trees and Economies; and Financial Fitness for Life to provide professional development activities for certified teachers.
Lending Library/Resource Center – The Center provides teachers access to over 1,000 instructional materials, the latest curriculum guides, textbooks, workbooks, primary economic data sources, and videos. It is the only collection of its kind in the state.
