The Economics Challenge is a high school competition designed to showcase outstanding high school economics students and courses in Hawai`i. Students (in teams of 3-5 members) participate in two divisions. During initial rounds, students tackle fun and challenging written tests of their economic understanding and their reasoning ability. The final rounds of the Economics Challenge involve a "first-to-the-buzzer" format as teams answer questions on economic concepts and theories involving micro- and macroeconomics, international economics, and current events.
